Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Dailies collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Dailies website, Creator Studio, APIs, and related services (the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
Account information. We may receive your name, email address, profile image, account identifier, and authentication details from the configured identity provider, such as Google.
Project content. We collect the videos, audio, images, text, outlines, edit instructions, prompts, project metadata, generated assets, render outputs, and technical information you submit or create through the Service.
Optional creator data. If you connect YouTube, we collect only the Google and YouTube Analytics data permitted by the scopes you approve. This may include channel and video identifiers, titles, durations, retention measurements, and related timestamps used to ground recommendations. You can use Dailies without connecting YouTube.
Usage and technical data. We may collect IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, session identifiers, diagnostic events, feature usage, errors, and security logs. We use cookies or similar technologies required for authentication, security, and core functionality.
2. How we use information
We use information to authenticate you; upload, store, analyze, edit, render, and deliver projects; run agentic workflows; generate requested audio, visual, and video assets; provide status updates and support; secure and troubleshoot the Service; measure reliability; enforce our Terms; comply with law; and improve the Service where permitted.
We do not use your private project content to create a public portfolio or publish it without your direction. We do not sell personal information.
3. AI processing and service providers
To provide the Service, your content and prompts may be sent to cloud and model providers selected for your project, including Google Cloud, Vertex AI, Gemini, Google Cloud Storage, Google Cloud Transcoder, and providers used for optional soundtrack generation. Those providers process data under their own terms and security practices. We configure requests to provide only the data needed for the requested operation.
Dailies may use an editorial agent to inspect source footage, analyze dialogue and visual moments, create an edit plan, generate assets, render drafts, and review those drafts. Generated results may contain mistakes. Do not upload content you are not authorized to share with the relevant providers.
4. ClickHouse and creator analytics
When YouTube Analytics is connected and enabled, Dailies may store normalized retention evidence and nearby editing-event data in ClickHouse or another configured analytics store. This supports creator-specific recommendations. If YouTube is not connected, the pipeline skips creator-history processing. You may disconnect YouTube and request deletion of associated analytics data.
5. How we share information
We share information only as needed with service providers that host infrastructure, authenticate accounts, process media or AI requests, store data, provide analytics, prevent abuse, or support the Service. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or an emergency involving safety or security. We may transfer information as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain account and project information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain durable pipeline checkpoints, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, and protect security. You may request deletion of your account, project, uploaded media, generated outputs, or connected analytics data through the support channel identified in your deployment. Some copies may remain temporarily in encrypted backups or provider systems until their ordinary deletion cycle.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including authenticated access controls and cloud security features. No system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your credentials and notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.
8. Your choices and rights
You may access or update account information, disconnect YouTube, request deletion, and stop using the Service. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information. We will verify requests and respond within the period required by applicable law.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without legally required consent. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to Dailies.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes. We will post the updated version and effective date. Material changes will receive additional notice where required.
